Variety known since 1890, named then "White Peach", its current name comes from the name of the Wapsipinicon river in Iowa where it originates. Presented at the Seed Savers Yearbook of 1996.

Small fruit of 40 to 60 grams of the size of a Ping Pong ball, whitish yellow skin with a light pink blush. Invisible umbilicus trace and very weak depression at the peduncle attachment; 5 sepals.

Thin skin, juicy flesh, 2 to 4 cells. Excellent flavor, sweet with a slight touch of acidity.
