Variety whose origin is confused. It was introduced and presented to the Seed Savers Yearbook by Carolyn Homme in the years 2000 under the name of "Splash of Cream" as being a new variety. However after research its name of origin is "Variegated" and would have been cultivated in Western Europe (Ireland and England in particular) since several years. The main interest of this variety is its very decorative variegated dark green and cream foliage.

Small red fruit from 50 to 100 grams and from 4 to 6 cm in diameter. Weak depression at the peduncular attachment.

Juicy flesh, 2 compartments. Taste of any, even insipid, to good according to the degree of maturity, it will be necessary to let mature the fruits as much as possible to appreciate the savour of it.
