Heirloom variety, from Tania O'Neill's family, originally from Yalta, Ukraine. One of the 100 varieties cited in Carolyn Homme's book "100 heirloom tomatoes for American garden".
Large, pink fruit with greenish shoulders, 180 to 600 grams, more or less bluntly cordate with discreetly rounded, ribbed shoulders. Bunches of 2 to 3 fruits.
Extremely dense, beefy flesh with tiny lodges containing little gel and very few seeds.
Very good, balanced, rich, fruity flavor.
Very tall plant, +/- 2.20m, with wispy foliage, indeterminate growth.
Abundant, regular harvests from mid-season to frost.
