Heirloom variety originating from Italy brought to the USA by immigrants, where it is grown extensively in the Illinois, Chicago area.

Fruit about 10 to 12cm long and 5cm wide, conical/horn-shaped ending in a point with a tendency to curve.

Ripens from green to deep red.

Despite its apparent similarity to hot peppers, it is devoid of heat.

Slightly thick skin which allows it to hold up well during cooking when stuffed.

Excellent sweet and rich flavor.

Excellent seasonal production +/- 70 to 80 days.

Plant of +/- 1.0 meter.
