SKU: 957 Category:

Variety originating from the region of Rostov Don, southern Russia and introduced in North America by Nik Peplenov who immigrated to the USA in 1999 bringing with him traditional seeds from his country. Its original name was "Rostova", it is Gary Isben of Tomatofest who renamed it to Sunset's red horizon, to note that originally Rostova was not heart-shaped. There could be 2 cultivars with the same name in circulation, one beefsteak type and the other heart-shaped.

Big red fruit of 200 to 500 grams, heart-shaped more or less blunt and deeply ribbed on 2/3 of the body, even lobed.
