Very old variety introduced in Livingston's catalog of 1889.

Synonyms: Stone - Livingston's stone.

Scarlet red fruit, round and smooth of 100 to 300 grams. Its name comes from its density, at the time it was considered the heaviest tomato of its size.

Dense and juicy bright red flesh, containing few seeds. Well balanced acid/sugar flavor.

Particularly suitable for canning and sauce/coulis making.

Vigorous, resistant and productive variety.
