Heirloom variety from a Polish family from Krakow who immigrated to Cleveland in 1900, Ohio, USA.  Featured in the 1991 Seed Savers Yearbook, one of the 100 varieties listed in Carolyn Homme's book.

Large pink fruit, 300-500 grams, 8-9 cm diameter, beefsteak type, round to slightly flattened, with marked ribbing at top and slightly rippled shoulders. Deep depression at the stalk attachment from which talwegs often start.

Very juicy, fleshy, beefy flesh with few seeds. Excellent, well-balanced flavour.

Vigorous growth, potato-like foliage.

Good productivity, tendency to burst.
