A variety originating from Russia, the translation of its name is "Chocolate", probably in relation to its colour.
Fruit weighs 180 to 350 grams, round and flattened at the poles with discreetly ribbed and rounded shoulders. Chocolate colour with dark green traces on the shoulders. Shallow peduncular attachment.
Full and juicy purple flesh. Typical "black" flavour: rich and smoky.
Moderately vigorous, narrow plant with sparse foliage. Indeterminate growth.
Early ripening. Suitable for cold or short season regions.
