Native to the USA, developed by Brad Gates of Wild Boar Farm, Napa, California.
The fruit is round, smooth and slightly elongated, weighing 80 to 100 grams. Unique red skin with yellow spots and scars. The name of the variety probably comes from the English word "scab". Looks like the Feuerwerk variety, but more rounded and smaller in size. Medium size, 5 to 6 cm in diameter.
