Origin unknown. Its name comes from its slightly acidic flavour.
Large reddish-pink fruit weighing 250 to 500 grams, round beefsteak-like, slightly flattened at the poles and discreetly ribbed at the shoulders.
Dense, beefy flesh, small cavities, few seeds and gel. Typical old-fashioned tomato flavour, slightly acidic.
Suitable for a variety of uses, both fresh and cooked.
Robust and vigorous plant with great development, to be led on several stems, regular foliage, indeterminate growth.
Very generous and regular production from mid-season to the first frosts.
