Very old variety introduced in 1901 by W.Altee Burpee, USA. Named to celebrate 25 years of the Burpee company. May be a segregated F3 cross of 'Dwarf Champion' and 'Lorillard'.
Small, round, slightly flattened red fruit weighing 50-120 grams with a discrete ribbing at the top.
Juicy and fleshy flesh with a rich, sweet and delicious flavour.
A dwarf tree-like variety with rugosa foliage, disease resistant and heat tolerant, very well suited to pot growing.
