OLGA'S BIGGEST

Native to Siberia. Large pink (red) fruit weighing 250 to 1,500 grams, variable shape from beefsteak to heart-shaped.

A Siberian variety, developed by the Institute of Horticulture in Barnaul, Altai. The original name was lost and renamed by Bill McDorman who collected the seeds in Russia. Presented at the 1994 Seed Savers Yerabook. There is still some uncertainty as to whether it is red or pink, heart or beefsteak and whether it is indeterminate or determinate in growth.

Large pink (red) fruit weighing 250 grams to 1.5 kilos, variable in shape, heart-shaped beefsteak type, more or less round with rounded shoulders. The depression at the stem attachment is moderately deep and not very wide.

Dense and juicy beef flesh. Excellent balanced flavour.
