Heirloom variety of unknown origin.

Fruit weighs 120 to 250 grams, round with smooth orange-red skin. Discreet ribbing at the shoulders, depression at the deep and wide peduncle attachment.

Flesh with very thick gel containing many seeds. Taste more acid than sweet but still pleasant for fresh consumption.

Very well suited to canning and high yield.
