Heirloom variety dating from the 1930s, named after Mrs Houseworth, Pennsylvania, USA, who is believed to be the originator.
Large pink fruit of +/- 250 to 400 grams, heart-shaped, rather tapered and pointed, +/- 10 to 12 cm long.
Very dense and fleshy beefy flesh with very few small lodges containing very few seeds. Excellent flavour. Versatile use.
Plant with large development +/- 1.80m.
