Native to the province of Treviso in Italy. Featured in the 2006 Seed Saver Yearbook.
Pumpkin-red fruit weighing 300 to 700 grams and 10 to 13 cm in diameter. Beef steak-shaped, flattened, with deep ribbing on the upper half and more or less strongly rounded or even curved shoulders.
Very fleshy, thick beefy flesh, very few seeds. Excellent, mild, sweet flavor.
Regular foliage, indeterminate growth.
Good mid-season production +/- 80 days.
