MORTGAGE LIFTER YELLOW

US origin, variety subject to controversy. Large yellow fruit of 300 to 500 grams, beefsteak type.

SKU: 1064 Category:

This variety has been the subject of controversy for some, as it is a development of the famous "Radiator Charlie" and for others the "Ponderosa" Railroad strain. Especially since there are regular leaf and potato leaf strains in circulation. For Southern Exposure Seed Exchange, which has been marketing this variety for a very long time, it is a potato leaf strain! It is only a short step to deduce that the regular leaf version is none other than Ponderosa.

Large yellow fruit weighing 300 to 500 grams, slightly flattened and with ribbed or even curved shoulders for the larger sizes. Large depression at the peduncular attachment, trace of umbilicus in bulge.

Beefy flesh with red and pink veins in the centre, creamy texture and complex, sweet and fruity taste.

Less productive than the "Rose" variety.
