Originally from the USA, this strain comes from the famous Mortage Lifter, grown in Kentucky for 3 generations (1930) by James Halladay's family. The fruit of this cultivar is a little rounder and less flattened. Otherwise, growth is similar to the original, with some finding it tastier.

Large, pink, beefsteak-like fruit weighing 300 g to 1 kg. Deep depression at peduncular attachment.

Fleshy, juicy beefy flesh with excellent old-fashioned tomato flavor.

Medium development, regular foliage, indeterminate growth.

Good, regular harvests from mid-season to the first frosts.
