This variety originated in the USA, the history of its name is unknown. Listed in the 1997 Seed Savers Yearbook.
Fruit weighs 180 to 350 grams, beefsteak-like, flattened and more or less strongly ribbed at the top.
Two-tone colour with orange-yellow skin veiled in red (or the opposite), more present on the apical side. Cluster of 3 to 5 fruits.
Orange beef flesh with red marbling, more visible in the centre. Delicious sweet and rich flavour.
Large, growing plant for mid-season production.
