A heirloom from the Mennonite community in Pennsylvania dating back to the 1910s.
The fruit weighs 180-350 grams and is flattened at the poles, more or less ribbed at the top and has rounded shoulders.
Meaty beef flesh with a nice creamy texture. Excellent flavour.
Large plant, regular foliage, indeterminate growth.
Mid-season production.
