An heirloom variety from the Black Forest in Germany, the original seeds came from Joe Bratka who inherited them from his grandfather who immigrated to the USA in the late 1800s.

Large, beefsteak-like fruit weighing 300-800 grams, flattened and ribbed at the top, arranged in clusters of 5-8.

Two-tone colour, golden yellow with a pink/red tinge, becoming more intense at the end of the season.

The flesh is beefy, yellow with pink marbling in the centre, juicy and fleshy.

Mild, sweet flavour with a hint of acidity to enhance the excellent taste.

Vigorous plant with great development, regular foliage, indeterminate growth.

Excellent and regular production from mid-season until the first frost.
