Spanish variety originating from the Balearic Islands, more precisely from Majorca. It is a very popular variety in its production area as it is an integral part of the Marjoquine cuisine. It is one of the varieties of hanging tomatoes "tomàquet ramallet" which have the particularity of keeping for several months once hung.
Synonyms: Mallorquin - Majorca - Mallorqui.
Round, orange-red fruit weighing +/- 150 grams.
Paste-like flesh, mainly used to make tomàquet pa amb (tomato bread) and in stews.
