An old heirloom from Madison County, Kentucky, USA.
Large, pink, beefsteak-like fruit weighing 300 to 500 grams, variable in shape depending on size, most often flattened at the poles, with limited ribbing at the top and wavy or even curved shoulders.
Fleshy and juicy, with the good "old-fashioned" flavor of the tomatoes of yesteryear. Excellent for all uses: salads, sandwiches or well-cooked.
Large development, regular foliage and indeterminate growth.
Generous production from mid-season to frost.
