A heirloom variety from the Peterson family, Italian immigrants, who have been growing it for over three generations in Ohio, USA.
Red fruit weighing 200 to 500 grams, sometimes more. Flattened beefsteak type at the poles, with a more or less pronounced ribbing at the top and rounded or even curved shoulders for the larger sizes. Wide and deep corky depression at the stalk attachment.
Fleshy and juicy flesh with an excellent subtle flavour, duality between sweetness and bitterness.
Relatively compact plant with medium development, regular foliage, indeterminate growth.
Abundant production in the second half of the season (85 to 90 days).
