JUBILEE
Very old American commercial variety. Fruit, orange-yellow, round, 6 to 8 cm in diameter with the beginnings of rippling.
A 1942 cross between 'Tangerine' and 'Rutgers' by Burpee's seeds, stabilised after 6 generations. Introduced on the market in 1943.
Fruit is orange-yellow, round, 6-8 cm in diameter with the first signs of rippling at the top. Clusters of 4 to 5 fruits weighing 150 to 250 grams. Faint depression at the stem attachment.
Fleshy flesh with few seeds and a very sweet flavour appreciated by people who do not like the acidity of tomatoes.
This variety has the particularity of being extremely productive over a short period of time, ideal for canning. Resistant to soil-borne diseases.
