JERUSALEM GIANT

Questionable origin, possibly Hungarian. 250 to 500 grams of beefsteak type fruit with an irregular ribbed shape at the top

Little known variety whose traceability cannot be formally established, seed given by Geza Korbely, Hungary, to Al Anderson, USA. Presented at the Seed Saver Yearbook 2007.

The fruit weighs 250-500 grams and is irregularly shaped, ribbed at the top and has rounded shoulders. Bicoloured yellow/orange and pink/red colour, which can turn completely pink/red when fully ripe.

Dense, juicy, orange-yellow beefy flesh with pink marbling. Excellent, lively flavour. Good yield in the second half of the season.

NB: Not to be confused with the variety "Jerusalem Beefheart" which also has the synonym "Jerusalem Giant".
