Variety originating in the USA. Developed in the years 1980 by JD Brann, in Texas, resulting from the crossing of "Early girl F1" and "Black Krim". Featured in the Seed Savers Yearbook of 2008.

Large purple fruit with greenish shoulders, 250 to 500 grams of beefsteak type, more or less flattened and with a discreet ribbing on the shoulders.

Flesh of red beef marbled with dark brown, firm and fleshy. Rich flavor specific to "blacks", vinous, some comparing it to Cherokee purple.

Plant with moderate development, regular foliage, undetermined growth.

Productivity varies from very good to average depending on the growing conditions.
