This variety, grown by Clyde Burson for many years, is a special strain derived from 'Indian Stripe', which is itself considered a 'Cherokee purple' strain. Produces larger fruit than Indian Stripe with superior flavour.

Synonym: Indian Zebra Burson Strain.

Large beefsteak-like fruit, flattened and slightly ribbed at top, +/-250 to 350 grams, reddish brown with green radial stripes. Wide, corky and moderately deep depression at the stem attachment.

Meaty beefy flesh with a creamy texture, rich and smoky flavour with a perfect balance.
