A variety originating in the USA, resulting from a double cross of ((Victor x Dobbies champion) x Pan american) x Rutgers, produced and developed by the USDA in Charleston, South Carolina for Florida growers who were looking for a variety that was resistant to the hot, humid climate and to wilting. Introduced in 1952.

Fruit 150-250 grams, round and slightly flattened, very firm. Faint depression at the stem attachment, umbilicus marked at a tiny point.

Good flavour.
