HAY'S TOMATO
Hungarian family heirloom. Large, more or less heart-shaped pink fruit weighing 200 to 400 grams.
Very little information is available on this heirloom variety from Bulgaria, some even doubt its authenticity as they do not have enough traceability. According to TatianaTomatoBase who often serves as a reference for me, this variety takes its name from the town of Hays in the province of Alberta in Canada. In fact, this old variety lost its original name a long time ago and was named Hay's Tomato because Jeffrey Casey, owner of Casey's Heirloom Tomatoes, which has been distributing it commercially since 2010, took the seed from a Hays resident, Bob Ponting.
Large, more or less heart-shaped pink fruit weighing 200 to 400 grams.
Beefy flesh with a creamy texture. Balanced, tasty and sweet flavour.
