Native to the Amazon region, it is widespread in Mexico.
Orange version of the "Habanero" family which comes in several colors: the most common red and orange but also chocolate/white/yellow/lemon/black and pink.
This version is considered by many to be the "true Habanero".
Fruit with a hanging, lantern-like port, elongated and crumpled/ribbed pod 3 to 5 cm long.
Ripens from green to orange.
Heat between 100,000 and 350,000 SHU.
