A family heirloom from southwestern France, cultivated for several generations.

Fruit weighing 200 to 800 grams, beefsteak-like, slightly flattened at the poles and discreetly ribbed at the top.

Red skin with yellowish traces remaining on the shoulders when ripe.

Full, fleshy beef flesh, with small peripheral pockets. Strong heirloom tomato flavor.

Large plant, regular foliage, indeterminate growth.

Production more than average, if not low, and tends to be in the second half of the season.
