Native to the USA, developed by James Garvey, Pennsylvania.
Large pink fruit that can reach 800 grams but generally weighs 250 to 350 grams. Variable shape from oval to heart-shaped or even misshapen when the fruit is very large, ribbing at the top frequently produces double fruit, not "plum" as the name suggests! Deep depression at the peduncular attachment.
Very dense, fleshy, pumpkin-red flesh with few seeds. Excellent flavour.
Average to good production, in season.
