Originally from Spain. There are two possible spellings: "Balabre" and "Baladre", which refer to the same variety.
Large, purple-pink fruit weighing 250 to 500 grams, flattened and more or less ribbed on the upper half. Smooth, thin, fairly delicate skin.
Very juicy, beefy flesh with many seeds, 6/7 compartments. Pleasant old-fashioned tomato flavor.
Robust plant with great development, regular foliage, indeterminate growth.
Very good, regular productivity early in the season and until frost.
