Variety whose exact origin is unknown, presented to the Seed Savers Yearbook in 1991 by Khol Davenport, Iowa, who received it from Karen Burnett, Kentucky, probably an American heirloom.
The fruit is large, 250-450 grams, beefsteak-like, flattened at the poles and with rounded or even curved shoulders.
Orange-yellow skin, sometimes with green traces around the collar.
Fleshy, dense, orange beefy flesh with small pockets containing little gel and seeds. Exceptionally sweet and fruity flavour.
Vigorous plant with great development, dense foliage, indeterminate growth.
Very good production, best in the second half of the season.
