EARL'S FAUX

Native to the USA. Large fruit weighing 150 to 400 grams, dark pink, more or less flattened and ribbed at the top.

SKU: 626 Categories: ,

Discovered in the early 2000s by Earl Cadenhead from Red Brandywine seed. He found the taste so exceptional that he distributed the seeds to members of Tomatoville, which is how this variety became so popular, being listed in the Seed Saver Yearbook in 2005.

Large, dark-pink fruit weighing 150 to 400 grams, more or less flattened and ribbed at the top. Wide but shallow depression at peduncular attachment, trace of corky umbilicus.

Very fine, melt-in-the-mouth beefy flesh, few seeds in specially shaped boxes on small fruit. Excellent sweet flavor.

Moderately vigorous, potato-leaved plant with indeterminate growth.

Generous, regular production from mid-season through to frost.
