DWARF CHAMPION
Very old US variety. Purplish red fruit weighing 150 to 300 grams, mid-season production of beefsteak type flesh.
Variety discovered in an Acme field in 1886 and introduced by Alexander Livingston in the same year.
Fruit is purplish red, 150-300 grams, beefsteak type, flattened at the poles, more or less rippled at the top and rippled at the shoulders.
Beefy flesh with few seeds and gel, slightly acidic taste.
Dwarf plant of about 1 metre.
Mid-season production. Can be grown in 15-20 litre pots.
