Heritage, developed by Richard Diener of Kentfield, California, from the cross of "Trophy" and "San Jose Canner" introduced in 1917.

Deep red fleshy fruit with yellowish shoulders, 250 to 500 grams, flattened and ribbed at the shoulders.

Beefy flesh with a pronounced flavor of old tomato.

Predestined for canning but also good for fresh consumption.

Vigorous plant with great development, regular foliage, indeterminate growth.

Production from mid-season but much higher in the second part of the season.
