DAVID'S GOLDEN PINEAPPLE

Originally from the USA. Fruit of 100 to 300 grams of beefsteak type.

SKU: 2293 Category:

An 'off-type' variety from seeds of 'Green Pineapple', grown at David Lemasters, Pennsylvania. Probably an accidental cross between 'Green Pineapple' and a white variety, this cross also produced another cultivar: 'David's ivory Pineapple'.

The fruit weighs 100-300 grams and is flattened at the poles, more or less ribbed at the top and has rounded shoulders that can curve when the size becomes large.

The skin is yellow and turns golden when fully ripe.

Juicy, fleshy and full beef flesh. Very good sweet flavour.

Regular foliage, indeterminate growth.

Mid-season production.
