This variety was discovered by the owner of Dana's Flower and Garden near Littlestown, Pennsylvania (its name translated as 'Dana's Dark Rose'). It is not known whether it is a chance cross or a mutation of 'Goldie'.

Fruit of 180 to 400 grams beefsteak type, slightly flattened and with shoulders. Clusters of 3 to 5 fruits.

Pinkish purple colour, green traces on the shoulders.

Full and fleshy purple flesh with very few seeds.

Excellent flavour, good balance between sweetness and bitterness.

Large plant, regular foliage, indeterminate growth.

Mid-season production.
