Originally from Portugal, where it is very popular, its literal translation is simply 'beef heart'.
Large red fruit weighing 250-350 grams, which can be heart-shaped or ribbed on the same bunch.
Dense beefy flesh with very few seeds. Excellent flavour.
Prefers a warm, dry climate.
