Rare variety, developed in 1890 by Georges Chemin, near Paris. Regularly cited in seed catalogues since 1900.

Fruit of 80 to 150 grams, smooth, round, slightly flattened at the pole.

The flavour of old tomatoes is neutral, neither too sweet nor too bitter.

High yield and very early in the season.
