CALABACITO ROJO
Would be of Mexican origin... Small red fruit of 30 to 120 grams flattened, ribbed and with waving shoulders.
Variety which would be a very old heirloom, exposed and documented in the garden of Philadelphia in 1795, according to William Woys Weaver. The exact origin remains unknown although seeds have been collected in the state of Chiapas in Mexico.
Small red fruit of 30 to 120 grams flattened, ribbed and with waving, "ruffled" shoulders that give it a unique look for a small tomato. Very good flavor of old tomatoes, rich, more acidulous than sweet.
Bushy plant that can become imposing, regular foliage, indeterminate growth.
Important production until the frosts.
