BYCHYE SERDTSE MINUSINSKOE ZHELTOE

Siberian cultivar. Fruit of 180 to 300 grams with the variable form sometimes of type beefsteak but most often of heart-shaped type.

Heirloom variety native to the Minusinsk region, Siberia, Russia. Its name means: "Yellow ox heart of Minusinsk". Part of the collection of the Khilenko family which collects throughout Russia the indigenous heirloom varieties.

Fruit weighing 180-300 grams with variable shape sometimes beefsteak-like but most often heart-shaped and well-fleshed, which may be more or less ribbed all over the body.

Yellow skin veiling with red on its apical end at full maturity.

Flesh yellow veined with red in its center, juicy, dense and thick, small lodges containing few seeds. Good sweet taste.

Robust and stocky plant with medium development, regular wispy foliage, indeterminate or determinate growth depending on the sources.

Good mid-season production. Variety well adapted for regions with short season and/or cool summer.
