Native to the United States, this strain is believed to be the source of the Brandywine variety. Ben Quisenberry received the seeds from Doris Sudduth Hill, whose family had grown Brandywine for over 80 years. It became Ben Quisenberry's favorite tomato, which made it famous.

Large, reddish-pink, 400-800 gram beefsteak-like fruit with curved shoulders and a chubby top.

Beefy flesh with an intense aroma and a well-balanced taste.

Abundant foliage of potato type, the plants can reach up to 3 meters.

The productivity is average and does not support well the heat while being not very adapted to the regions with fresh or short seasons because it is relatively late.
