Originally from Russia, this variety also comes in a regular leaf version. According to some, Black Sea Man pl is the original strain. Many sources claim that Black Sea Man is a translation of the Russian word for Chernomor (normal leaf and potato leaf), and that these two varieties (Black Sea Man and Chernomor) are one and the same.
