BLACK EARLY
Probably of French origin... Purple-brown fruit which, unlike the majority of "black" varieties, does not have green shoulders.
Variety which would be native of France according to Ake Truedsson who introduced it to the Seed Savers Yearbook in 1998, for others it would be Swedish.
From 150 to 300 grams of type beefsteak to the variable shape, most often flattened and ribbed in high part, sometimes waving of the shoulders. Very similar to "Black from Tula".
Purple-brown color that unlike most "black" varieties does not have green shoulders.
Dense beefy flesh with a pleasant texture. Excellent flavor typical of the "blacks" for some one of the best. Plant rather compact but sprawling, good to very good productivity and rather early.
