Heritage variety native to Visconti but discovered in Pennsylvania in the heart of Amish country, dating back to the 1870s. Introduced in the Seed Savers Yearbook of 1987.

Orange-red fruit of 120 to 240 grams, elongated plum shape. Depression with weak peduncular attachment.

It is not a paste type because the flesh is much too juicy. Fleshy red flesh juicy and sweet containing few seeds. S

It is rather good raw but it is in sauce and paste that it will be best used.

Foliage is not very abundant, beware of sunburn in hot regions.

Excellent productivity, +/-7 kg/plant. A certain tendency to burst.
